Location and Parking
Click here for directions to Harrisburg Area Community College - Lancaster Campus, 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, Pa. From Campus Drive, take the first right, onto Millennium Drive. Follow Millenium Drive as it turns left, after you pass the parking lot of the first main building. After you pass the Library Sign on your right, turn left into the staff parking lot. The entrance for Camp is at the rear of the the Main building. There is no access to Camp from the front entrance of the building. Arrival and Check-in Camp begins promptly at 9 a.m. Please plan to arrive between five and 10 minutes beforehand each day so that your child will not miss anything. There will not be staff available to watch your child before the beginning of Camp. Check-in for Kids and Cultures Camp will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the gazebo behind the Main Building on Monday, and 8:50 a.m. on the other days. Parents will receive a card with a reminder of the pick up time and the emergency phone number. Pick Up Please arrive no later than five minutes after the end of the Camp session to pick up your child. Before your child may leave, he or she needs to "check out" with the designated staff member. If your child is not yet outside at the end of the session, you may come inside the Camp location. There will not be staff available to watch your child after 10 minutes after the end of Camp; please notify us if there an emergency and you cannot arrive on time. Also, if someone other than yourself is picking up your child, send a permission note with the details beforehand. Contact Information
If for any reason you need to contact us immediately before, during, or immediately after Camp hours, please call the Camp cell phone at 717-723-8787. Do not call the host location. Please check your e-mail on the Saturday before Camp and on every evening after Camp. We will send updates, links to photos, and any other information that you might need to know. What To Wear Children should have sunscreen applied and wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty. We will distribute Camp T-shirts at the end of Monday's Camp session. Campers are not required to wear Camp T-shirts during Camp. What To Bring Please leave all toys, electronic devices, and valuables at home. If your child has an artifact from one of the featured countries/cultures that he or she would like to bring to show, please contact a Camp director beforehand. Kids and Cultures and the host location are not responsible for lost or stolen items. You do not need to send a water bottle. This facility has a water fountain near the meeting room; we will take frequent drinking breaks throughout the Camp session. If your child brings a water bottle, please make sure it is clearly marked with his or her name and that your child has it when you pick him or her up.
